Where can I learn a whole lot about cars?
Thursday, May 22nd, 2008Do rental car companies make any modifications to their cars to keep the speed down?
Saturday, May 17th, 2008uv830 asked:
For instance, do they somehow induce a shimmy at a certain speed? I’ve rented two cars, same model and year, same company. They both began to shimmy at approximately 70 mph. It felt like an out of balance wheel at the right front, and I’m curious if this is intentional on the companies part.

Monday, May 12th, 2008How to learn about painting cars/auto body work?
Sunday, May 4th, 2008torchred8604 asked:
Ok, I’ve been interested in getting into painting cars and doing auto body work, possibly as a future vocation. How do I get into this? Are there schools or classes I can take? Do I try to find a job somewhere where I can learn? I’m pretty clueless. Some advice would be great, especially if you have experience with this kind of thing.

How to know if a cars check engine light has been tampered with?

I am in the market for a car, but three of the most recent cars that I have tried to buy have check engine lights. This is why I always show up to a dealership a day in advance of a schedule appointment just in case.

My question is if I buy it from a private party and/or dealer, how do I know that the person/salesperson didnt just disconnect the battery to temporarily remove the check engine light or use an OBD machine to reset the code?
