Car salesmen, are any of you having a hard time selling cars right now before the holidays?

My husband has been selling cars for 25 years. He said the business this year and right now has been terrible. He has worked at another place this year, but it was the same thing there….SLOW. He’s depressed about this and is thinking of maybe changing careers.
He is an excellent salesman and has done well in the past, but this year has been a real bummer!
