What do you think about funding regional transportation projects with small increases sales tax?

Across CA for sure, but probably in other areas of the US too, voters are approving small increases in sales tax to fund major transportation project. Are you happy with how these projects are turning out? Do you think this is a good idea, in general? Any concerns that it is a regressive tax? Should gas tax be raised instead?
